End of September we decided to spend some sunny days out of the German lockdown stuff and drove down to Elba in Italy / Toscany. We were very lucky with the weather so we decided to stay there for a week.

Finally done, 1.500 km down to the south end of Croatia, passing Bosnien-Herzogewina and close to the boarder of Montenegro. We arrived at the most beautiful town of Croatia, especially Dubrovnik old town. We were very lucky, as there were not many tourists due to Corona restrictions…

Last stop, but still one of the best ones, was the stop in Oberjoch. We’ve been there invited for a stag weekend an we enjoyed the whole night. Outstanding food, very beautiful area around and friendly people.

After being at Lago Di Garda we straight drove up to Brixen. Never have been there before, a former colleague coming frome here, he just announced that city. And we weren’t disappointed… a very nice oldtown, outstanding restaurants and a very awesome nightlife… ground-breaking 🙂 Enjoy the pics of our Italy trip 🙂

Next stop on our way to southern Europe was La Spezia with its small coast side villages as Riomaggiore, Manarola, Corniglia, Vernazza and Monterosso. You have to drive down to the coast to get an amazing view – and you should be there really early as tourist busses showing up at lunch time.

A few day later after being in La Spezia, we drove down to Piombino to get the ferry to Elba. As the ferry runs quite often, we were lucky to get an earlier one. Elba is an island, small enough to be able to drive all around and see all the beaches – but also…

As it was hard to travel with an airplane in these times, we moved on to another roadtrip through southern Europe.
