Arrived in Walvis Bay / Swakopmund in the evening, we just recognized that Africa can be very very cold…
It has been something around 10 degrees in the evening, even less during night. And very windy as well.
The next morning started with a dessert tour, called the little five.
First one of the little five was this small albino spider, night active and digged into the sand…
No. 2 was this lizard without legs – not a snake, more related to lizards.
No. 3 was already waiting for us close to desert road, looking for some flys and worms.
No. 4 is a dessert gecko, really beautiful with its big eyes. Btw, also an albino and night active.
The last one, no. 5, is a small but very dangerous sidewinder snake, hiding itself underneath the sand – only the eyes are outside the sand – so be careful where you walk…
Desert view with the different shapes of dunes.
That’s one of the oldest flowers , normally they get up to 2.000 years
Very hot roads and nice view called „Fatamorgana“
Next stop is Twyfelfontain which is one of the nicest Lodges in Namibia.
