Sri Lanka – Day 2 – Tangalle Beach

As we travelled through Sri Lanka, and to be honest, I tried to have at least a short look at most of the beaches, this on, Tangalle beach was one of the most impressive beaches. It is not so famous as this beach is not a typical sand and swim beach, but very awesome from a scenic point of view…

Here you see some relicts from 2004 Tsunami – boats and ships pushed to the land and even destroyed like this one…

I don’t want to step into something like this… could be pretty aweful…

This one is also one of the more dangerous fishes regarding its poison.

Another relict from 2004. You can even walk hundreds of meters away from the coast and you’ll find still some destroyed ships lying on the ground. Some are in use again, for example used as a bar or pub.

This one was our place for lunch time, pretty good food, pretty nice sea view…

Day 2 ended up with a pretty poor guestroom with a lot of insects in our bed. Will show some pics of this awful place in the next post, but be sure, it is no place where you wanna spend a night 🙂
