Back in Xian, the next day started with a short tour through the city. From an european perspective, this city is really awesome…

The next day started quite early in the morning with a train ride to Xian. Because we had not so much time, we took the G-train. In China, you have different types of trains: the G-type with around 300 km/h, the D-type with around 200 km/h and some slower ones, like trains with sleeping waggons.

The Longmen Grottes in Luoyang are one of the less famous but really awesome spots. You can see here thousands of Buddha sculptures made of or into the rocks, from pretty small to incredible tall.

We left Beijing very late in the evening to get the night train to Zhengzhou; taking the night train in China is an quite interesting experience as you shre the room with some people you meet the first time; so you can be lucky – or not.

Beijing Hutong is the oldest and most expensive part of Beijing. Although the buildings don’t have any value – the ground is around 30.000 USD per sqm
