The reason why we went down into the south, heading to Sihanoukville, was to get the ferry to Koh Rong. Koh Rong is a small island without any streets, no cars, no motorbikes and only a few wifi spots – and only one guesthouse where you can pay with your credit card – only cash is accepted…

Siem Reap and way down to Sihanoukville – Cambodia Part 6
After Tonle Sap we went straight back to Siem Reap, getting all our stuff into the backpack and finally took the night bus to Sihanoukville in the south of Cambodia. Here some street photography impressions.

A very special village, or at least two of them, are located on a sea called the Tonle Sap. This sea is 1 m deep during dry period in April / May, but some more meters deep during rainy season – in other words, all the houses need to swim instead of having poles.

Another very impressive temple inside the Angkor Wat area is the Ta Prohm temple where the Hollywood movie Tomb Raider was produced (at least some scenes). The very interesting part of this temple is the inside area, where trees and walls are combined in a way, that the support each other.
