As we travelled through Sri Lanka, and to be honest, I tried to have at least a short look at most of the beaches, this on, Tangalle beach was one of the most impressive beaches. It is not so famous as this beach is not a typical sand and swim beach, but very awesome from a scenic point of view…
Arrived in Mirissa Beach, we found a very cool backpacker hotel with direct access to the beach – at the right time to enjoy a very nice sunset. Sunsets at the sea have always something special. Sitting on the beach with friends, enjoying the last minutes of the sun for this day, feeling the warm air and listening to the waves coming to the beach – you don’t need more to enjoy this evening…
Further down to south, our target was to reach Hikkaduwa beach for a lunch meal and to rent some motorbikes. So we stopped right here on the beach to get in touch with some warm water…
Sri Lanka – or former known as Ceylon – an island where I got a lot of responses like „I’ve heard it – but where is it?“ was our home for some days in August 2015. To be honest, as I have still a lot of places around the world I gonna visit, Sri Lanka was not priority no. 1 for this year. Pushed by a fluke, we finally decided for this trip only a couple of weeks ago and were also lucky, that a good friend of us joined as well.
